DESCRIPTION: A gall mite is the causal agent here that initially creates a white erineum between the veins on the lowerside of the leaf. Eventually the leaf-blade becomes thickened and sometimes hairy on the upperside. The individual hairs of the erineum are translucent and curly. DISTRIBUTION: Occasional but sorely under-recorded so actual distribution is uncertain. HABITAT: Found on the leaves of Buckthorn.
